Paola is an expert in financial inclusion and education issues. She has worked as a Specialist in Financial Inclusion for several Colombian organizations such as FINAGRO, Banco de la República (Colombia’s central bank), Banca de las Oportunidades (program that leads the country’s financial inclusion public policy) and SENA, in which she has led programs to improve the vulnerable population’s access to formal financial products.
Paola has participated as a researcher in studies of financial inclusion, financial well-being and financial education, with which she has had the opportunity to publish the results. Among the publications are:

Paola has a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in Education from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is a candidate for a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Universidad de los Andes. She has certified with national and international courses and seminars on issues of financial inclusion and financial education.
Before joining MiCRO she worked as an advisor to the President of Finagro. She has over 10 years of experience in the design of financial education and financial inclusion programs with different organizations.
